The Usonian government is so fucking corrupt that words really have lost their power to convey to the full extent necessary. Thanks for giving it your best efforts!
Changing the subject of the public conversation has long been a tactic employed by desperate politicians and governments in a jam.
In 1998, Bill “I did not have sexual relations with that woman” Clinton launched air strikes while he was being investigated for extremely embarrassing extramarital sexual improprieties. His White House announced attacks on targets that included Sudan’s primary pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, which was purported to be a chemical weapons factory, the same day a grand jury met to hear testimony by a former White House intern, Monica Lewinsky.
Something about “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes”?
What happened in Chicago in September 1982 that knocked the Sabra and Shatila massacres in Lebanon right out of the headlines?
Is it time yet? time to “take what you have gathered from coincidence”?
Shortly before reading this I had Gen. Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on t.v., (semi-) listening to him do his obligatory schtick in the latest episode of the Trump Comedy Hour. Gen. Caine could have secured an honorable place in history for himself by asserting his obligation under the Uniform Code of Military Justice not to follow illegal orders, to wit engaging in acts of war without the authorization of Congress. Then maybe resigning, I should think he already has a pretty decent pension. Now, like Colin Powell before the UN prior to the illegal invasion of Iraq, who likewise could have rewritten history, he's made an ass of himself. We salute you, general.
It just occurred to me that one possible interpretation of the phrase "Organization of American States" could be "organization of states that belong to America." Perhaps a better title would be "Organization of Western Hemisphere States."

If Trump isn't impeached by sundown today then it's time for others to rid us of this lawless megalomaniac.
Thank you

Asking for a friend.
