I thought of the title a few weeks ago and finally wrote this piece last night -- but woke up this morning realizing it was actually wanting to be a poem, hope to work on that soon.
i don't know who or what is going to come to Palestine's aid in a real and lasting way. What is required to dismantle the Israeli prison state? A completely different way of living and self-governance. Gustavo Petro has called for a standing army, an ocean of humanity to assemble itself and march to Palestine in order to effect this miracle. And then to continue marching around our besieged planet in wave upon wave of liberatory peacemaking interventions. It's a great and necessary vision. But how to implement this? The only reference I have to such an army of conscience is the Khudai Khitmatgar or "red shirts" of Afghanistan who joined with Gandhi to liberate India from the British. Their story has largely been erased. But the legacy lives on. 100,000 members of this barefoot non-violent standing army must have produced at least as many descendents who have *not* forgotten their enlightened ancestors stories. How about enlisting them as teachers and guides?

Hostages converted to targets, the Israeli way, even against Jews (Hannibal Directive).
Yes. And Israeli Jews as hostages. “We have no where to go” Golda Meir claimed. I should redo this.
Here are the Khudai Khitmatgar. Including many women and children: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Nv-army-gray_BG.jpg
