When I was young, my dad and I would go on walks.
Sometimes I loved them. Sometimes I hated them. We would talk and some of those talks were hard. But that’s a story for another day.
We’d sometimes go to a park and toss a frisbee around. Sometimes we’d go to the IHOP. I learned a lot about politics and history at that IHOP.
On our way to either place was a big hill that went by a Catholic Church and an all-girls academy. Looking back, it’s kind of amazing how the girl-obsessed kid I was didn’t find any way to interact with them. Another story for another day.
On our way back to the apartment, we’d go down the hill.
One day we were tired. Really tired. Maybe we played frisbee for a long time. Maybe we ate too much at the IHOP.
One of us had an idea.
We leaned upon each other as we walked down the hill.
That made the walking easier.
By leaning upon each other, it made the walk easier.
By leaning on each other, it made the walk easier.
That is the honest origin of my VotePact voting strategy.
