Good call on the blob's using Thanksgiving to conduct the hive mind. Expect the same when we sing "O Little Town of Bethlehem."

This is the time to acknowledge the hundredth anniversary of Thomas Hardy's trenchant little poem, Christmas 1924:

'Peace upon earth!' was said. We sing it,

And pay a million priests to bring it.

We've got as far as poison-gas.
