The term "American exceptionalism" is in the common parlance, but we don't talk about "Israeli exceptionalism". Compared to America, it is MORE remarkable that Israel routinely and openly defies the rules for the way nations behave toward one another. America gets to break the rules because America MAKES the rules, with the world's largest military to stand behind our self-righteousness. But how does Israel get to avoid censure when it annexes territory, runs an apartheid state, and bombs its neighbors? Remember the attack on the Liberty in 1967. What other country could have gotten away with such brazen aggression toward the US?
The only plausible answer is that Israel is protected by the US when it does things that no other nation could get away with. There are two possibilities: This could be because Israel has undue influence over US policy through lobbying or blackmail or bribery. Or it could be that the US is using Israel as its agent, giving Israel license to do things that the US doesn't want to be caught doing itself.

It's plausible to me that Israel played a role in the Kennedy assassinations, but not that they were the prime movers. There are people and institutions in the US without which the assassination and subsequent cover-up could never have succeeded. (The cover-up is important because no one would have dared to execute this plan unless they had arranged the cover-up in advance, and were pretty confident of its success.) This implicates LBJ, the Dulles brothers, the CIA, J Edgar Hoover, and probably the NYTimes and Earl Warren.
I've developed into feeling that the conventional wisdom that a conspiracy needs to be small is wrong. You need at least some sort of tacit buy in from several different sectors so that after the fact no one with much power and volition raises any alarms.

Ring of truth: yes, clear evidence of Israeli invlovement in the Kennedy assssinations would indeed fundamentally alter Americans' assessment of world events. It would explain why Trump and many others have held back the information. It makes perfect sense in the light of what we are learning about the deep involvement of tentacle-like Israeli influence in the American government, and I can't think of any other revelation that would more greatly rock the foundation of public perceptions. I do think that if FOIA showed CIA involvement (with or without Mossad), the agency would suffer a major blow as its supposedly only involved in "foreign operations." By the way, JFK fired CIA director Allen Dulles after the CIA's failed Bay of Pigs operation. After Kennedy's death, Dulles served on the Warren Commission which investigated the President's assassination.
