As a great deal of other Americans, I live in great fear of the direction this country is taking and I must do more. Lots of us are fed up with deception and lies from both parties. The action is in big cities that I cannot afford to live in, but I can join a phone bank and do other things besides taping a Palestinian flag to my car and everywhere it is parked putting a sign in the front window that says, Say No To Genocide. Vote Jill Stein. I am of the opinion that if genocide is not a red line, we are living in frightening and corrupt times indeed. People must learn very quickly, apathy toward voting and involvement will enslave them to a global elite. May Sinwar's stick give us courage and perseverance.

Cynically, I think this is partly why the GOP has been so virulently homophobic--if being gay was no big deal, the wealthy would have one less blackmail tool to keep politicians in line.
Our government is ruled by blackmail and bribery by the wealthiest people in the world.
I suspect that the goal isn't just to prop up and expand tiny Israel, but to use both Israel and the US to expand the wealth and power of their common owners.

I am 81 years old, and used to feel somewhat useless because all I ever do any more is (1) eat, (2) sleep, (3) read books like Rashid Khalidi's The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, and (4) watch TV movies in the evening. Now I think my next book should be William Powell's The Anarchist Cookbook (popular in the early 1970s and still available from Amazon).
