Thank you for this window on the situation. After I read of the huge amount of money that President Biden has received from Israeli interests over the years, I have felt decieved by the media that did not warn us: Candidate Biden was incapable of pursuing an unbiased policy in relation to Israel.

Independent press might have done that. Probably did. (Would anyone have believed them?)

Expecting corporate press to do that when their job is mouthpiece for uniparty establishment is sadly misplaced confidence in the foxes in the chicken house. And discrediting everyone who reports differently, esp as they reveal 'truth' that counters the prescribed 'narrative' for public consumption.

Prof. John Mearsheimer recently said in an interview that AIPAC is a legit *American* interest group (like NRA). NOT foreign, he said. So, they're doing *nothing illegal* he said. (I was beyond shocked to hear this, too.)

He'd been asked why this lobby has so much influence in our politics to the point where American foreign policy is completely subservient to our so-called 'great ally.' Why isn't it required to register as foreign entity, was part of the question to him. We obey to our own detriment... why???

And that was his response. Been ringing in my ears and my head ever since.

Now, Sam is showing us evidence of a different view that frankly, makes lots more sense, at least to me. Great investigative journalism digging up the info we need to begin to understand the 'real story,' Sam. Thanks so much!

Would love to see a panel discussion between you, Prof. Mearsheimer and Dr. Trita Parsi to sort out (my) confusion on this topic. Reading all the writings from each would probably help. However, most of us also have lives without endless time for researching. Sadly.

Yes. I have real differences with so called “realists”. Will try to write more in this vein.

No worries, Sam! You've done an outstanding job right here. This piece is perfectly enlightening as is. I didn't have time to comb thru and properly absorb it all early this morning.

i.e Video of Grant Smith... just that... which i didn't watch then cuz hubs was sleeping and i needed it quiet... is unbelievable. And really does help address my confusion. His book certainly sounds worth reading. (Won't live long enough to read all the books!!) :D

So now i'm thinking in light of this, Prof Mearsheimer's position makes no sense at all... mystery continues. Not because your work is inadequate in any way. NO! YOU open the door (thank you!!) to more info that's not been in my view before... even if i lived thru this time period. (As a child)

Guessing i'm not the only one who doesn't have this invaluable context ... WOW.

Thanks again Sam. Wonderful investigative journalism. Jamaal Bowman (congressman representing New York's 16th district) was defeated in a Democratic primary race because AIPAC funded his opponent (per the UK's Guardian), $20 million. Now that takes the biscuit (as they say across the pond).

No resistance is kosher- “The White House recently condemned Rep. Cori Bush for attacking AIPAC”

I can't help commenting on the name of the person who wrote that letter to RFK Sr. - Bill Gottlieb. Gottlieb is a German surname based on two modern German nouns: Gott means God, and Lieb means love. So Bill Gottlieb means Bill God Love. The unconscious implication of this name, and many other surnames based on German, Hebrew, or Yiddish (also a Germanic language) root words, is to emphasize the affinity between the human and God. The Old Testament even tells us that God "chose" the desert nation of 12 tribes of Israel anciently to be his special nation, above all other nations, and a light unto the world on how humans should live and act. The New Testament does not agree, saying that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Perhaps that is why there has been so much antagonism between Jews and Christians throughout history. Today's Zionist politicians in Israel and elsewhere (especially in the USA) all keep taking the supposed eternal truth of the Old Testament verse as a given. The one and only God of the universe loves all the Jewish people through all time more than he/it/God loves all other people. It's only a short jump between being chosen by God and being magically protected by God in combat. The Chinese Boxers of the 1903 Boxer Rebellion believed that their martial art exercises, meditations, and breathing exercises would protect them from being injured by the weapons of the foreign nations' armies who were there in China to protect their home nations' commercial interests in Chinese trade, most especially the British with their opium trade over which two wars had been fought about 50 years earlier. History has proven that neither one's training in Chinese boxing arts nor believing that one's personal God chose his ancestors 3,000 years ago to be especially chosen for blessings will protect him from lead bullets moving at 1,000 feet per second.

I do not agree with the modern Zionistic interpretation of that Old Testament verse written around 580 BC in Babylon. It is false, bogus, wrong-headed, and extremely dangerous if used a basis for one's actions towards non-believers of that same verse. The Jews in Israel in 2024 ARE NOT GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE. And neither are any other people or individuals.
