"It would not be typical for us to engage allies and partners on something that is utter and complete nonsense". So did they or didn't they?

that was an outstanding series of questions in the midst of ridiculous pushback. i’m amazed they want to deny this, even prior to Sy’s piece. now it’s Theater Of The Absurd.

Sy Hersch has far more credibility than Ned Price or any other federal government spokesperson. The point Sy made is that neither CIA nor JSOC were used, which would have entailed Congressional oversight. I suspect these Florida divers were contractors and had no formal link to the military. They were directly controlled by the WH to maximize secrecy.

Finally a Journalistic question. Ned Price''s body language show it all. He is lying

I believe Biden blew up Nordstream 2. There is no other context in which the threatening hints make sense. In spite of all the careful planning, too many were involved. No wonder the truth leaked out.

With so many American politicians on board for the destruction of that pipeline who did people think blew it up -- Tinkerbell?

Thank you, Mr. Husseini. Great work! I laughed out loud when the worm says, "Beyond getting his facts entirely wrong, as he has before in very high-profile ways..." Haha!!!

Tony Blinken and Joe Biden need to be disbarred for lying, on their way to prison for this crime. This article should be investigated by Congress and it looks like it’s down to the GOP. For humankind sake, someone needs to uncover the truth. That is a massive crime.

If the US did blow up the pipeline...GOOD.

There was never any Ukrainian army that was building on Russia's border. It was Russia that massed *their* army on Ukraine's border. And then invaded.

Russia didn't "finish" anything in either Syria or Ukraine. All they do is bomb cities and massacre civilians.

The people in Crimea are not "Russia's people". And it's not up to Crimea whether Ukraine joins NATO.

Russia does *not* in fact control the Black Sea.

And that's a neat trick to have aircraft carrier "sitting off Serbia's coast", seeing as Serbia doesn't *have* a coast.

Again, Serbia is a landlocked country. How exactly do you imagine that aircraft carrier's presence has anything to do with Serbia?

Why are you ignoring the actual results of the poll (which show that a majority of Crimeans did *not* want to be annexed by Russia, and that only 40% of Crimeans identified as Russian)? Instead you insist that even conducting the poll is somehow suspicious.

It's Russia that's the imperialist nation. They're the ones that invaded Ukraine and seized Crimea.

How on Earth would that pipeline have brought about "peace with Russia"?

We're certainly not spending too much money. If anything, we're not spending *enough* money.

"Expanding closer to Russia" meaning that Russia's neighbors spent 20 years begging and pleading to be allowed into NATO so they'd be protected against Russian invasion.

It's Russia that's desperately sending untrained and barely-equipped conscripts into battle to get slaughtered, with ethnic minorities being drafted at anywhere from 10 to an astonishing 100 times the rate of ethnic Russians.

There have been nowhere near "700,000 Ukrainians" killed. What Russian propaganda did you get that lie from?

And Russia doesn't get any "sanction relief" until every last Russian is out of Ukraine.

No, Nordstream was built in an attempt to make Europe reliant on Russian gas, so that Russia could use it as a weapon against Europe. Russia hoped that it would make Germany submissive to them, and thus allow Russia to wage war as they see fit without Europe intervening.

Everything Russia has done for the past 20 years shows what a catastrophe it would've been if NATO had been broken up in 1991 like you suggest. If NATO didn't still exist, Russia would've already invaded the Baltic states and probably also Poland and Romania.

The only way to end the war is to defeat the fascist invader. And no, Crimea has not "been Russian since 1783".

The people of Donbas *did not* request anything of the sort. The "vote" Russia held was a blatant sham, held quite literally at gunpoint. And ethnic Russians are a *minority* of the population in Donbas, so even if the ethnic Russians really do want to be part of Russia, they don't get to override the Ukrainian majority.
