Thanks. I really wish people would have vigils at UN missions of the countries one would hope would invoke the Genocide Convention. I guess I should write a piece to that effect.

Fab idea try Veterans for Peace.. pretty sure they were originator of Assange vigils at UK consulate & protests at Blackrock.. they have members across the globe & can organize!

Somehow Sam, you managed to convey your cry of despair in beautiful heartfelt prose without the hyperbolic rending of garments. If we listen, the atrocities speak for themselves. This quiet almost hypnotic acceptance of feeling too powerless to counter Israel/US genocide may just illustrate a more violent interpretation of Hannah Arrendt's 'banality of evil'. Your desire that China will somehow become involved is unlikely. The best hope for meaningful international intervention comes from Russia... if not directly, then through example. They've proven to much of the world, especially those countries surrounding Palestine, that they no longer have to be cowed by, nor subservient to the hegemon.
