The antiestablishment left and right can come together and dethrone the establishment. In voting, people can pair up and vote for an independent candidate rather than cancelling out each other.

When I started watching, I immediately erased my RCV comment. I helped found RankedChoiceNY.org so I automatically post that when on topic. But, like you, I have since seen the problems. (I'm not with RankedChoiceNY anymore.) I believe strongly in your DYI approach. I like the idea of write-ins, in fact. In 2020 I was a member of both the Green and the Libertarian parties and sought to be on both ballot lines (in NY that's possible), but the Greens refused me (because Libertarians allegedly take corporate money) and I became the Libertarian nominee for Congress. My policies were tailored to attract all voters. But being so-named on the ballot, I could not attract the Green (or Democrat) vote. Running independent makes more sense. Down with the party system!
