"For everyone who does wicked things hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his works should be exposed." —John 3:19-21 Israel, under serial liar and war monger Netanyahu, has pummeled the Palestinians in Gaza and the Israeli military just cut all cell service and internet access to Gaza and has begun its most violent bombing campaign yet.
Sam, I understand - or think I understand - the reasons behind your anger. This is much more your part of the world than mine. You undoubtedly have a much better grasp on the mindset of the Arab countries and of those non-Arab actors in what's termed the Mideast. It's a tangled web of interrelated formal and informal alliances and I think countries like Russia are trying to 'win' without triggering a nuclear world war. This game of patience does nothing in the short term to alleviate the genocidal suffering of the Gazans but it may make a profound difference in the long run. As for folks in the US who have no stake in the outcome, there was a post on the Moon of Alabama thread by someone who goes by the name of Eighthman that perfectly sums up the general public's lack of humanity towards both Ukraine and Gaza: "If a future headline reads, "Last Ukrainian dies" (or Gaza resident), the followup would be 'and in other news cute kittens now available at SPCA this week'
