This overt censorship and control of 'the narrative' began in earnest with full congressional backing of the so-called Patriot Act, passed in October of 2001. The free and unfettered flow of ideas, of differing opinions, of speech is a relic of a bygone age when Americans understood and supported the country's Constitution. It's no accident that in September, 2021 the National Archives and Records Administration put a potential 'harmful language alert' that covered documents in their possession including the Constitution and it's Bill of Rights first 10 amendments plus the Declaration of Independence. The subtle message is that they may no longer be relevant in this age of 'enlightenment.'
